Ice Hockey World Championships 2017: everything you need to know Paris fr

France is once again behind one of the biggest sporting events when the World Championships in ice hockey 2017 kicks off in Paris and Cologne. Here is everything you need to know!

Paris and Cologne each hosts eight of the greatest ice hockey nations when the world championships are launched from the 5th of May to the 21st of May 2017. And it is worth a while to cross your fingers, because the Nordic countries is well represented in championships with Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland among the 16 participating countries, which are broken down into two groups:

 

Group A

Russia

USA

Sweden

Slovakia

Germany

Latvia

Denmark

Italy

 

Group B

Canada

Finland

Czech republic

Switzerland

Belarus

Norway

France

Slovenia

 

Group A will be playing all of their matches in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, and Group B be playing all of their matches up to and including the quarter-finals in the Accor Hotels Arena in Paris. The other finals will be played in Cologne.

All-in-all there will be played 64 matches during the World Cup and you can find the program here.
