Strasbourg, Mon Amour
Strasbourg reveals its romantic side!
Strasbourg is without a doubt one of the most romantic villages in France: the wood-timbered houses, the picturesque streets and hidden squares, the canals and overlooking bridges all make for particularly love-inspiring scenery.
Throughout the years, the city has attracted visitors and harbored many romances: Victor Hugo and Juliette Drouet, Honoré de Balzac and Eve Hanska, Goethe and Frédérique Brion all found the city to ideal for their relationships.
In honor of this legacy, Valentine's Day in Strasbourg will last 10 days this year. The Alsacian and European capital will open its heart and celebrate couples in grand fashion, with an inaugural soirée presented in partnership with the Opéra National du Rhin, dinner shows with the Etoiles d'Alsace, a "Pont des Soupirs" (Bridge of Sighs), an outdoor café for lovers, a nighttime pool party, a slow-dance party in an ode to bygone eras, guided tours in the footsteps of famous lovers, and more deliciously romantic activities.
Special offers for couples are available from both hotels and restaurants, as well as numerous other propositions from local businesses to complete the affair.
The entire city has come together, inviting visitors to share exceptional moments, at once poetic, cultural, gastronomic, glamorous, or uplifiting.
