Tahiti Pearl Regatta 2015
The Tahiti Pearl Regatta takes place in a friendly and genuine atmosphere with Polynesian percussions; staging points in the middle of the south pacific ocean or in lagoons with bewitching colors; festive stop-over on islands on "motu" (small islands along the coral reef).
It provides an ideal balance between a sport competition and a festive discovery in preserved and enthralling islands.
This year, the race takes place between Raiatea (the sacred island), Huahine (the wild island) and Taha'a (the vanilla island).
The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is opened to any kind of sailing boats (monohull, catamaran, trimaran, private or charter ship, on transpacific stop-over...)of any size. Numerous international crews will again join the TPR, like the ones of the World Arc Rally, as well as crews flying from Japan, the U.S and St-Tropez.
The festivity programme will allow an intense and varied programme just like the sporting one: crew parade, Tahiti Pearl Regatta Village, costume parties on the theme of legendary sailors and Polynesian legends...
This new edition will start with an eco-friendly project; the cleanup of Raiatea's harbour. You are all invited to take part in this great operation.
