Nord-Pas de Calais
Opened: December 2012
Just opened at the end of 2012 was the Louvre's new outpost in Northern France, offering a great opportunity to view 200 of the Louvre's masterpieces in a new light. Until March 11, artworks from the Renaissance are on display. Find out more information here

Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations
Opening: June 7, 2013
This is this first national museum to be entirely dedicated to the art of Mediterranean Civilizations. Strategically located between the historic Vieux Port and the new Joliette urban district, the MuCEM was designed by innovative architecture Rudy Ricciotti.

Opening: Early 2013
Opening as part of the Capital of Culture, the FRAC showcases the work of young contemporary artists, and will feature 2 exhibition areas, a documentary center, experimental center, restaurant, terrace, and lodgings for artists.

Regards de Provence Museum
Opening: March 1, 2013
Also part of the region's cultural revitilization, Marseille's former sanitary station from 1948 is being redesigned to host exhibitions featuring historical documents, contemporary art and photographs, plus a restaurant, bookstore and more.

Episcopal Palace Museum of Bayeux
Opening: September 2013
This new museum will showcase the treasures of Bayeux’s heritage, featuring paintings including works from Caillebotte, and a rich collection of porcelain and lace, representing nearly 2000 years of the city’s history.

Overlord Museum
Omaha Beach (Normandy)
Opening: June 2013
Situated in the midst of Normandy's D-Day beaches, the Overlord museum will display over 10,000 pieces retracing a large part of the Battle of Normandy, including personal effects of soldiers, to divulge a new perspective on the second World War.

Louis-Vuitton Foundation of Contemporary Art
Opening: 2014
A Frank Gehry building located in a children's park, the Jardin d'Acclimation, this new art foundation aims to bring new culture and life to Paris.

Musée Soulages
Opening: Spring 2014
Thanks to a major donation form Pierre and Colette Soulages, this new museum will feature 150 works utilizing different techniques by the artist throughout his career, including engraved works, sculptures, paintings, and more.

Museum of Confluences
Lyon (Rhone-Alps)
Opening: 2014
This new futuristic museum will showcase themes of science, culture, earth and human life.
