Driving holiday in France: have you remembered the new eco-sticker?

Driving holiday in France: have you remembered the new eco-sticker? Paris fr

Going on a driving holiday in France? Then remember to check whether you need the new eco-label "Crit'Air" on your car.

To reduce pollution, several areas in France have introduced special environmental zones called "ZCR" or "Zones à circulation restrinte" where it is mandatory to have a Crit'Air-sticker on the car and follow the rules and restrictions.

The Crit'Air-mark devides cars and other motor vehicles into six categories depending on the degree of pollution they cause, and at the entrance to each ZCR a sign will show the restrictions of the zone. Vehicles in ZCRs with no Crit'Air-sticker risks to get a fine.

Order your Crit'Air-sticker on this page in time for your holiday as Crit'Air-stickers are only sent by post.

These areas are/will be registered as ZCRs

Are you unsure whether you might pass through a ZCR on your driving holidays and which the rules might be in force? Then have a look on this page, where you can find all current environmental zones in France.
