Lively nightlife in France’s ski resorts

From the ski slopes by day to the dance floor by night!

Life in our resorts doesn’t just stop when the ski runs close for the day as can be seen by the many resorts which now offer night-time activities for visitors, ranging from night-clubs to special events.
The concept of “nightlife” was first introduced to the mountains 30 years ago in Val d'Isère and Val Thorens, with restaurants a cabaret and a discotheque in a club that could host over 2,000 people every night.
Nowadays, you’ll find clubs in many ski areas.
The Alps, for example, are a must for skiers looking to party once they leave the slopes! Here you’ll find dozens of bars of every description in resorts such as Val D’Isère, Les Deux Alpes and St François Longchamp among others.

In Méribel in the Savoie, the Rond Point organises concerts every evening in a venue with a real party atmosphere, alongside the resort’s latest arrival, the Folie Douce which opened its doors at the end of 2012.
The innovative concept found at the “Folie Douce” is also present in Val d'Isère, Tignes, Courchevel and Val Thorens, enabling clubbing fans to experience this open-air night-club scene from early afternoon onwards… and at an altitude of 2,400m!

In La Clusaz (Haute-Savoie) for example, the dance floor comes to you! Every year, the resort organises its ”full moon party”, a huge outdoor event when everyone can dance as well as ski under the stars on runs which are opened specially for the occasion.

The choice is incredibly varied, with a number of night-clubs offering a variety of unmissable evenings and events throughout the year.
