Hotel du Palais in Biarritz: a myth reborn 1, avenue de l'impératrice 64200 Biarritz fr

The Palace Hotel in Biarritz has freshened up! After six months of refurbishment works, the Hotel du Palais is celebrating the renaissance of its Salon Imperial.

A new décor set the stage for a contemporary version of the venue, integrating a glass ceiling and winter garden that honor its Second Empire architectural past as well as a frescos inherited from its history.

The light takes the stage

The favourite ballroom of sophisticated Europeans in the 30’s, has at last recaptured its past splendor. With a capacity of 230 people, the Salon Imperial opens up to the light and provides a new vision of the wall paintings by Paul Gervais. Overall, this renovation is placed under the auspices of light, modernity and faithfullness to its identity.

Originally built as the private residence of the Emperor Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie, the Hotel du Palais blends glamour and sophistication with Basque Country warmth. For over a century, this luxurious 5-star hotel, a Palace de France, has been hosting the most beautiful and grandiose parties and events.

A century of experience is there to welcome you

Beyond its gates, the whole of Biarritz, the Basque Coast and inland landscapes of the Basque Country await you. A strong identity and vast playground for your customized activities designed in rhythm with the Ocean and the Pyrenees.

The Hotel du Palais is one of thirteen French hotels to be awarded "Palace status".
